Don’t Pay for that Article: We already have it!  Get full text articles in Google Scholar

Have a Google account?  You can link it to CSU, so the “Full Text via CSU Library” links will always appear in your search results.

You can customize Google Scholar to provide full-text links to journal articles available through the Michael Schwartz Library's subscriptions. If you are on campus, logged into your Google account, or are using our proxy server, Google Scholar should recognize you as a CSU user and link you to the full text.

To activate Google Scholar Library Links:

  1. Log into your Google account.

  2. Go to Google Scholar search page.

  3. Click on the menu button Menu button and then click Settings button Settings.

  4. Select Library links and search for Cleveland State University.

  5. Check Cleveland State Univ. – Full Text via CSU Library in the search results, then click Save.

From now on, when full text is available through a Michael Schwartz Library subscription, you will see a Full Text via CSU Library link to the right of the citation:

Whenever you’re logged into your Google account or using our proxy server, you'll have full-text access to journal articles available through the Michael Schwartz Library's subscriptions.

NOTE:  Google Scholar is a helpful tool, but it doesn't show you everything available to you through your library-provided resources.  Be sure to check out our Research Guide on Google Scholar for pro tips.
